How we picked

  1. Industry fit first. We judge each CRM against the work of the industry it serves.
  2. We check every price. Vendor pricing pages are re-read monthly. Where a vendor won't publish, we show a labeled third-party estimate or “quote only.”
  3. A 3.5-star floor. A CRM must average 3.5 or better across G2, Capterra and TrustRadius.
  4. Payment never moves a pick. Referral fees and sponsorships have no effect on order or inclusion.

Considered, not included

  • Velocify (ICE). A strong speed-to-lead dialer for lenders, but a lead tool more than a relationship CRM.
  • Law Ruler. A capable intake CRM for injury firms; annual lock-in and quote-only pricing kept it off the list.
  • Insightly. Suits project-delivery firms; a dated interface and separately sold marketing tools put it behind the picks above.
  • Every CRM in our database that fits this list appears above.

HubSpot, Zoho and Attio have free plans. Among paid plans, HubSpot Starter, Freshsales Growth and Close Solo start at $9 per user per month on annual billing.

Do I need Salesforce?

What hidden costs should I watch for?

Onboarding fees (HubSpot Professional adds $1,500), seat minimums (monday CRM bills at least 3 seats) and usage-based calling (Close bills telephony per minute).
